Currently MADBand looks like a drum-line made of weird scientists to which some incorrectly assume to be humans they know and love. That is both correct and incorrect... MADBand is the interactions you have with the world around you then brought to the table to coincide with others' interactions while synced up to the rhythm of the drums. MADband is similar to a dream.

We are an entity being transmitted from space. Like fingers on a glove we are able to move independently to provide maximum creative potential and assess different aspects of this planet, yet we are just the wrapping of MADBand.

After hearing music beaming from the planet Earth from different parts of the universe we came close to see what it was about. The full scope of music was clearly something beyond human understanding though they live it, produce it, and dance to it. We have transmitted to Earth to perform experiments through sound and movement with hopes of further understanding how humans interact with music as well as a commitment to expand the awareness of music for anyone, anywhere, and anytime. Music does not rest and neither do we thus we are gathering more people to help uplift music.

Our transmissions have been the presenting of different thesis on what we have encountered. We have been landed in warehouses, street corners, ecovillages, parties, and stages. We have explored topics such as how music has propagated itself and lives of others; how humans experienced sound and dance in early agrarian societies, when the echoes of the rhythms of flora, fauna, seasons, tides, as well as the inner and interpersonal rhythms dominated their lives. We are currently researching the melding of visual art, dance, and music and what synergistic effect occurs.

While we are transmitted through an old transistor flux capacitor attached to a VLRDs moved to locations near you. Though we swing through the interstices we are always prepared to shuttle new friends skyward so that they we may transmit down their most groovy selves and integrate their creative forces with MADBand. Drummers, horn players, MC's, visual artists, dancers, clowns, electronics wizards, and more are all welcome to reach out and find a way to fit in. The best way to make it a MADBand World is to get involved and to tell your friends.
